Jaleel Johnson,19 appeared on court on May 19, 2015 and charged in a robbery of a 21 year old female. The continued investigation by Detectives in Area Central resulted in Johnson being identified in 5 other incidents. These incidents occurred in the 012th and 018th Districts with dates ranging from 07 March 2015 to 16 May 2015. No further information is available at this time.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 015th District (Austin) of an increase in Robbery, Vehicular Hijackings that have occurred during the month of May. In these incidents, unknown male black offenders wait for victims to exit their vehicle. The offenders then approach and demand the victim’s car keys. The 025th District police officers conducted a follow-up meeting regarding a narcotics take down informing the community members what was done and what we need to continue to work on together. The take down location was Waller to Austin and Division to Potomac.
On May 23, 2015, at 3:15 p.m., a 5-year-old female was fatally struck by a vehicle on the 5900 block of S. Mozart Ave. 24May15 008th-MAIU-Fatal Hit&Run_608-15-007[1]
Romell Outlaw was arrested in connection to a murder that occurred on the on April 2nd, 2015. Outlaw was charged after being identified as the offender who fatally shot a 37 year old man as he stood on the 100 block of East 69th Street at approx. 8:25 pm in the evening.
Wanted for Attempt Kidnapping 25th Dist _HY270918_On May 22, 2015, at approximately 7:15 a.m., a female juvenile was walking west on the 6300 block of west Fullerton. An unknown male Hispanic offender, driving a silver, 4 door vehicle, called to the victim and offered to give the victim a ride. When the victim refused, he offered her money to get in his vehicle. The victim continued walking and the offender drove away in an unknown direction.
Stephen Slezak was arrested after he was identified as the man who sexually assaulted an 11 year old female and a 16 year old female on separate occasions.
Martin was arrested in connection to a murder that occurred on October 3rd, 2014 on the 10600 block of South Yates Ave at approx. 9:10 pm.
