Three recent Armed Robbery incidents have occurred in the 25th District. In two
cases, an offender on a bicycle approaches a victim, displays a dark colored
handgun, and demands property. In the third case, the offender was on foot when
he displayed a dark colored handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The
offender takes cell phones, wallets, USC, and jewelry.

Ivan Sanchez was arrested in connection to a fatal traffic accident that occurred on July 18, 2015, at approx. 4:20 a.m. in the 0-100 block of W. Lower Wacker Drive.  Sanchez was involved in a traffic crash that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old victim after his vehicle struck a concrete column.  The victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital where he was pronounced.  Sanchez was taken into custody and charged accordingly. This alert gives notice to business residing in the 015th District (Austin) of an increase in robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of July. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) call in a delivery order. Upon the items being delivered, offenders at gunpoint rob the delivery drivers of their property.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 015th District (Austin) of an increase in Robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of July. In these incidents unknown offender(s) answers ads for sale of electronic items on Facebook or Craigslist. Offenders then set up a meet with victims and rob them of their property.

On May 26, 2015, at approximately 9:30 pm, pictured offenders entered the 7-11 grocery store located in the 100 block of N. Michigan Ave. The victim confronted the female offender who was observed by victim leaving the store with stolen merchandise. The male offender then struck the victim numerous times with a pipe wrench and both offenders fled on foot. For More Information Click Here
