CPD Business Alert – Armed Robberies in the 006 (Gresham) District
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 006th District of several armed robbery incidents that have occurred in the Gresham neighborhood. In two of the incidents, the described offender entered the business and allowed other customers to go ahead of him so that he was the last one in line and the only one in the business. The suspect in both incidents made a purchase then announced a robbery while pointing a hand gun at the clerk. The images included are from the robbery that occurred on Jan. 19th, 2016 on the 300 block of East 87th St.
CPD Business Alert Commercial Burglaries 24th District (Rogers Park)
CommercialBurglaruies24thdistrictP16-N-026BA[1]Commercial burglaries have occurred in the 024th District where an unknown offender pried open the rear door to access the business. In one incident the offender then kicked in an interior door and cut through drywall to access the first floor. The security video captured the offender’s movement throughout the store. The offender(s) took a guitar, laptop computer, misc. tools, U.S.C., watches and a ring. Incident times and locations are listed below:
South Side Man Charged in 2015 Murder
South Side Man Charged with Homicide, Arrington,Donald
Arrington was arrested after he was identified as the person who bludgeoned and killed a 50-year-old man. This incident occurred in the 3900 block of N. Spaulding Ave. on August 31, 2015; at approximately 11:00 a.m. Arrington fatally struck the victim with a blunt object during an altercation and set the victim ablaze before fleeing the scene. Personal property belonging to the victim was taken along with his vehicle which was later recovered in a Northern suburb. During the investigation, information was gathered identifying Arrington as the wanted offender. Arrington was apprehended and placed into custody in the 1500 block of E. 72nd Pl. on January 27, 2016, and was charged accordingly.
DUI STRIKE FORCE PATROL – OGDEN (10th) DISTRICT
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Ogden (10th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 31st, 2016.

ROADSIDE SAFETY CHECK – SHAKESPEARE (14th) DISTRICT
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Shakespeare (14th) District this weekend. The Roadside Safety Check will be conducted at 3101 W. North Ave and will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29th, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30th, 2016.

CPD COMMUNITY ALERT – Robberies (P16-N-023) 15th Dist
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 015th District (Austin) of an increase in Robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of January.
CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- Wanted for C.S.A. 9th District
This alert gives notice to residents of the 009th District (Deering) of a Criminal Sexual Abuse that occurred on the 2400 block of W. 55th Street on the date of January 24th, at approximately 6:40 p.m. A female victim walked west bound on 55th Street when she was approached from behind by an unknown male offender. The offender grabbed the victim by the hair and touched the victim in an inappropriate manner. The offender then released the victim and fled the area.
