Dennis T. Long, 54 was arrested and charged in connection to an incident that occurred on January 21, 2016, in the 4300 block of N. Cicero Avenue at approximately 10:45 a.m. An employee of a storage facility was emptying a storage unit for lack of payment when he inadvertently discovered sexually explicit photos of minors, as well as other suspicious articles, in a piece of furniture that was being discarded. Chicago Police were notified and further investigation led to charges against the offender who was listed as the lessee of the storage unit in question. Click here for more information.

Offender(s) descriptions are two male black subjects between 20-25 years of
age. One offender has displayed a handgun during these Robberies.
Offender(s) arrive and flee on foot from the crime scenes.

About This Crime
On 22 February 2016 at approximately 0800hrs a male was discovered in a parked taxi
cab, on the 4400 block of North Leavitt in the 019th District. The victim described as a
Male, 58 years of age, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head in an apparent
armed robbery by an unknown offender(s). Area North Detectives are investigating this
incident and ask if the public has any information to please contact The Chicago Police
Area North Detective Division.
About the Offender
• Male Black approximately 18-25 wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt
What You Can Do
• Drivers should ensure that their cabs are equipped with working video
surveillance systems.
• Be aware of the situation and alert other taxi drivers in the area about this
crime
• Call 911 with as detailed a description of the offender as possible
including direction of flight

CPD Business Alert- 17th District Robberies of Pizza Delivery Drivers
There have been four recent robberies of Pizza Delivery Drivers in the 017th District. In each of these cases a food order was placed, but when the driver arrived to make the delivery multiple offenders approached him, displayed a weapon, and took the driver’s wallet, phone, and food order. In one case, the offender displayed a handgun. In all of the cases, at least one offender was armed with a knife.
