6th District (Gresham)

About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens of the 6th District (Gresham) of recent Robbery

incidents that occurred in recent weeks. During these incidents, unknown offender(s)

displayed firearms and demanded property from the victims or used force to take

property without a weapon.

Incident times and locations:

9000 block of East 79th Street, Wednesday, February 01, 2017 at 08:45 A.M.

7900 block of South Cottage Grove, Monday, February 13, 2017 at 06:30 A.M.

7900 block of South St. Lawrence Ave., Monday, February 20, 2017 at 06:00

P.M.

7900 block of South Rhodes Ave., Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10:00 P.M.

About the Offender:

Two Male Black Offenders, 16-30 years of age, 5’07”-6’01”, 130-300 lbs.,

light/medium/dark complexion and various hairstyles.

What you can do:

If confronted by the offender, attempt to remain calm and never pursue a fleeing

assailant, provide information to the police

Always be aware of your surroundings

Report suspicious activity immediately

Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limps, acne, teeth, tattoos,

etc….)

If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information

Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of any suspicious people

including any vehicle description and license plate information

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 25th District (Grand Central) of recent Garage Burglaries that have occurred on Beat 2513, primarily in the area from Oak Park to Harlem, and North Ave. to Armitage. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) has forcibly or unlawfully entered the side door of the garage and removed property from the garage. For More Information Click Here
