Package Theft 22nd District (Beverly)

About the Crime: This alert gives notice of a package Theft. In this incident, Federal Express left a package on victim’s porch which was stolen.

Incident times and location: • 9500 Block of south Oakley, Wednesday, March 29, 2016 at 4:09 PM About the Offender: One Male African American with a slight goatee. Offender was last seen wearing a grey jacket with black stripe on the back. Offender was walking hand in hand with a young child last seen wearing a grey jacket and backpack. The offender then entered into a small station wagon or SUV driven by an unseen subject.

What you can do: • Have packages left in a hidden location if possible. • Request signature at time of delivery. • Have packages held at post office or local UPS or Fedex facility . • Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of any suspicious people including any vehicle description and license plate information.

This alert gives notice to citizens of the 5th District, on beat 512 and 513 that multiple fires are occurring. The offender uses available materials contained within the garbage cans in alleyways, bulky refuse items or leaves are ignited. In some cases, the fire has communicated to the garage. The offender was seen in the vicinity of 10400 block of South Calumet Ave. For More Information Click Here

This alert gives notice to Food Delivery Drivers in the 6th District (Gresham) on Beat 614 of Robbery related incidents that have occurred in recent weeks. During these incidents, Delivery Drivers were delivering food when unknown offender(s) approached and by force demanded property and food from the victims. For More Information Click Here

This Community Alert alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 001st District (Central) of robbery related incidents during the month of March. Unknown offenders using a black vehicle, possibly a Chrysler Sebring, are approaching drivers of vehicles stopped in traffic, displaying handguns and ordering drivers from their cars.

This alert gives notice to citizens of the 6th District (Gresham) on Beat 613 of robbery related incidents that have occurred in recent weeks. In two incidents, unknown offender(s) displayed firearms and demanded the victim’s property and vehicle. Area Central Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the above suspect responsible for taking cell phones from citizens while on the train. This incident occurred on March 10, 2017 at approximately 8:55 p.m., on the CTA Pink Line train located in the 2000 Block of S. Kostner Avenue. As the train stopped at this location, the offender approached and took the victim’s cell phone from their hand and fled the train. For More Information Click Here

02 Apr 17 JA-180407 Fatal Crash Community AlertAfter flashing gang signs and getting into a verbal altercation with the victims at a gas station located at 2801 W. 59th Street, the above vehicle chased the victims’ vehicle to 4411 W. 59th Street.  At that location, the victims’ vehicle crashed into multiple parked vehicles and the victims suffered serious personal injuries.  One of the victims died from the injuries.  The crash occurred on March 9, 2017 at 1:44 A.M., The above vehicle fled westbound on 59th Street.

About This Crime

On April 1, 2017, at approximately 12:10 a.m., the 26-year-old female victim was walking southbound on the 4600 block of N. Monticello when three offenders approached her from behind and threw her to the ground. Two of the offenders held the victim down on the ground as the third sexually assaulted her. All three offenders subsequently fled northbound towards Lawrence Avenue after forcibly taking the victim’s property.
