On April 30, 2017 at approximately 9:10 p.m. a 31-year-old female was walking southbound on the 4300 block of North Campbell when she was approached from behind by an unknown offender, described as a male black wearing a dark colored sweatshirt. The offender produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The offender then ordered the victim into the alley on the 2400 block of W. Pensacola where he sexually assaulted her. The offender then fled westbound in the alley.

About This Crime
On April 20, 2017 at about 1:30 p.m., a male subject was seen parking his vehicle on
4800 block of W. Shakespeare Ave. near school grounds during recess. The grounds
are bordered by a wrought iron fence. The male stood by his car with the driver’s door
open, watching the children for several minutes. The male began to make a beckoning
gesture with his hand, trying to get a male preschool student’s attention. Two school
employees, who had been monitoring the male offender, then walked towards him. The
male ran to the open driver’s door, and drove west on Shakespeare Ave., then north on
Lamon Ave., running the corner stop sign as he sped away.
About the Offender
Male White Hispanic, 36-45 year-old, about 5’6″ in height, weighing about 160 lbs., with
dark brown shoulder-length curly hair. Subject wore a black jacket, and a dark baseball
cap. No facial hair or glasses were seen.
About the Offender’s Vehicle
• Green colored older model four door sedan.

• Call 911 to report any suspicious persons or activity.
• Walk in pairs.
• Don’t talk to strangers or approach strange vehicles.
• Be aware of your surroundings and travel in well lit and populated areas.

On Saturday, April 15, 2017, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a 6-year-old female was in a grocery store located on the 3900 block of W. Diversey Ave., when a male White Hispanic approached her, motioned her over to him and kissed her on her cheek.

About the Crime: This alert gives notice of a package Theft. In this incident, Federal Express left a package on victim’s porch which was stolen.

Incident times and location: • 9500 Block of south Oakley, Wednesday, March 29, 2016 at 4:09 PM About the Offender: One Male African American with a slight goatee. Offender was last seen wearing a grey jacket with black stripe on the back. Offender was walking hand in hand with a young child last seen wearing a grey jacket and backpack. The offender then entered into a small station wagon or SUV driven by an unseen subject.

This alert gives notice to residents of the 009th District (Deering) of a Robbery/Vehicular Hijacking incident that occurred on the 1700 block of West 47th St. on March 23, 2017 at approximately 4:00 p.m. A 32-year-old female exited her vehicle and entered into a retail establishment with her vehicle running while still occupied by a 60-year-old female and a 1-year-old female. An unknown male offender entered into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and drove away northbound on Hermitage. After a brief struggle, both victims were able to escape the vehicle on the 4600 block of S. Hermitage. The offender then fled eastbound on 46th St. No injuries were reported in this incident.

Area Central Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance regarding a Strong-Arm Robbery incident which occurred on October 26, 2016 at approximately 12:00 p.m. on the CTA Redline train at Clybourn.  As the train was in motion, this female black approached the victim and tried to take her cell phone by force.  When this female offender was unsuccessful in taking the victims cell phone, she then pulled the victim by the hair causing the victim to fall from her seat in an attempt to drag the victim from the train.  The offender then fled at the Clybourn stop with two other female blacks and one female white.

On September 14, 2016, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the 13-year-old female juvenile victim was riding her bike on the 5200 block of North Northwest Highway when she noticed a parked white wan and the unknown male driver standing outside his vehicle door.

On Monday, July 4, 2016, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a 61-year-old male was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the 2600 block of West Peterson Avenue. As a result of the crash, the victim sustained critical injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene west on Peterson Av. then north on Talman Av. after the crash without identifying them self or rendering aid to the victim.
