06 Jun 17 CA-JA294119 Child Luring 16th DistOn June 05, 2017 at, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a 14 year old minor female victim got off the CTA bus and was on her way home walking in the 4200 block of North Cicero. The unknown offender began following the victim and was asking many questions. The victim continued walking away and the offender continued following and asked for her number, telling the victim that she can get to know him and she can come to his house. The minor victim in fear for her safety entered the McDonalds Restaurant to call her mother. The offender stayed outside the restaurant and was looking through the window gesturing with his hands for the victim to come here. The victim notified her aunt who called 911. The victim relates having seen this offender on two other occasions last year.

  • 04 June 2017 – 017 District CA for Sexual Crimes to ChildrenOn Monday, May 08, 2017 at 4:00pm, a 14 year old female was walking home from school on the 4800 block of North Sacramento when the victim was approached by the offender, who was driving a dark colored vehicle. The offender asked victim to look at something he was holding.  As she looked into the vehicle she observed the offender without pants and inappropriately touching himself.  REFERENCE RD#- JA 255641- Sexual Exploitation of a Child

This alert gives notice to businesses of an aggravated battery to a taxi cab driver which occurred in the 11th District (Harrison) on May 31, 2017 on the 700 block of N. Avers at approximately 1:02 a.m. During this incident, the offender contacted a cab company and requested a cab.  As the driver waited at the location for the fare the unknown offender approached and shot the driver.  For more information click here.

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to three robberies of businesses at locations within the
boundaries of the 19th District. In these robberies, one male white or hispanic
offender entered the business and ordered items for purchase, then proceeded to
imply he had a weapon then took items from victims. In the most recent incident the
offender dragged the sales clerk behind the counter while holding a knife,
proceeding to take liquor and cigarettes before fleeing.
Incident times and locations:
• 4000 block of N. Kenmore, on May 11, 2017 at 02:00am.
• 3900 block of N. Sheridan, on May 13, 2017 at 03:00am
• 2800 block of N. Ashland on May 30, 2017 at 02:34am.
About the Offender:
Male White or Male Hispanic, 30 – 40 years of age, 5’05 – 5’11, 200 – 280 pounds
Black Baseball Cap with Red Bill and a large number 23 on hat in 2 incidents, Blue
Cubs Baseball Cap in one incident, Black Jacket or Sweater, Grey T-Shirt, Black or
Tan Shorts, Black Gym shoes.

• Be aware of this crime and alert nearby businesses.
• Pay special attention to any suspicious groups loitering in the area.
• Have and maintain a working surveillance system for your business.
• Refrain from touching any area of your business where the offenders may have
touched, or may have left an item behind.

On April 24, 2017 at approximately 4:30 a.m., a 28-year-old female was walking eastbound on the 7900 block between S. Michigan & Wabash, when an unknown offender approached her from behind and forced her into the alley. The offender then displayed a knife and dragged the victim to the rear of the 7800 block of South Michigan where he sexually assaulted and robbed her.  For more information click here.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the above Districts, of recent burglary

home invasions that have occurred. In these incidents, the offender (s) gain entry to

the residences, threaten and batter the victims while demanding their property.

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th (Near North) District of several
reported armed robberies. In each of the incidents, the offenders approach the
victims, produce a handgun, and forcibly demand property from the victims. The
offenders threaten to shoot the victims if they don’t comply. The offenders were seen
fleeing in a silver vehicle during one incident. All of the incidents have occurred on
Beat 1812.
Incident times and locations:
• 2300 block of North Halsted St., Monday, May 22, 2017 between 10:15-10:30pm.
• 600 block of West Webster Ave., Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:15pm.
• 700 block of West Dickens Ave., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 3:35pm.

4 male, African Americans, described as 17-20 years of age, with heights ranging
from 5’02”-6’04”, and weighing 160-185lbs.
