About the crime:

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 008th District (Chicago Lawn) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the months of May and June. In these incidents, the offender(s) enter a business and produce a handgun, demanding money and cellular phones from the victims. Incident times and locations are listed below:

  • 2900 Block of W. 63rd St. on May 19, 2015 at approximately 9:48 P.M.
  • 6000 Block of S. Kedzie Ave. on June 1, 2015 at approximately 2:37 P.M.

About the offenders:

#1- Male black, 18-27 years of age, 6’01” – 6’02”, 175 lbs.

#2 & 3 – Male black 18-24 years of age, 5’05” – 5’08”

This alert gives notice to the businesses in the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of armed robberies of gas stations during the late evening and early morning hours. The offender enters the gas station, produces a handgun and then demands money.

There have been two incidents that have occurred since May 26, 2015. These incidents have taken place on beat’s 1624 and 1634.
• 5200 block of W. Addison on May 26, 2015 at 1:20 AM
• 4000 block of N. Laramie on May 28, 2015 at 10:11 PM

The offender described as a Male, 20-30 years old, 5’07”- 5’08”, 125-170 lbs. Offender was wearing a mask covering his face, with a hooded sweatshirt or jacket, blue jeans, brown shoes and gloves.

On December 23, 2014 at 3:13 p.m., at the Eberhart Food Store located at 457 E. 79th Street, the above pictured homicide offender entered the food store, displayed a firearm, and shot and killed a 23 year old male victim.

 About The Offender

Homicide offender was described as a male black, approximately 23 years of age, approximately 5’10” tall, approximately 190 lbs, medium brown complexion, short black hair and facial hair.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 001st District of robbery related incidents during the month of May. During the first incident, an unknown male white offender punches a female victim and knocks her to the ground. The offender continued to strike victim and took the wallet from her pants pocket. In a second incident, an unknown male white offender committed a retail theft. While fleeing from the scene, he grabbed a purse off the shoulder of a female victim. The victim struggled to regain control of her purse before the offender kicked her and fled. The offender fled to a gold colored Toyota that was being driven by a male black. The Toyota may have had a temporary license plate.

  • 400 block of W. Madison St. on 04 May 2015 at 6:45 – 7:00 PM
  • 600 block of W. Jackson Blvd. on 21 May 2015 at 7:00 PM

About the offenders:

  • Male, white , 5’04-5’09, 130-160 lbs., brown eyes, short brown hair, light complexion, 25-30 yoa.
  • Male, black, dreadlocks, 25-30 yoa.

Burglaries are occurring in District 019 where offender(s) enter school buildings after hours, causing damage and taking electronic items.

• 2500 block of W. Addison on 16 May 2015 between the hours of 1:30 pm and 10:00 pm.

• 4400 block of N. Magnolia from 22-26 May 2015 between 3:30 pm and 7:15 am.

About the Offenders:

• From the incident on Addison, four offenders riding BMX-style bicycles.

In these incidents, an unknown offender enters the residence by force or by way of open doors and removes property from within. See incident locations listed below:

  • 2000 Block of West Thomas on May 05, 2015 at approximately 9:00 A.M.
  • 1500 Block of West Chicago on May 08, 2015 at approximately 8:00 A.M.
  • 1400 Block of West Augusta on May 11, 2015 at approximately 9:30 P.M.
  • 1100 Block of North Ashland on May 15, 2015 at approximately 8:00 A.M.

This alert gives notice to the Business Owners of the 20th District (Lincoln) of several recent commercial burglaries that have occurred. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered business through doors or windows by force using a pry tool or blunt object. Items taken include cash, cash registers, cigarettes, batteries and other miscellaneous items.

Incident times and locations:

There have been nine incidents that have occurred since April 1, 2015. These incidents have taken place, within the boundaries of Sheridan to Clark and Gunnison to Peterson, during the late PM hours to the early AM hours.

  •  5000 block of N. Sheridan on April 1, 2015, at 3:00 AM
  • 5300 block of N. Broadway on April 2, 2015, at 3:00 AM
  • 5200 block of N. Broadway on April 11, 2015 at 3:15 AM

This alert gives notice to the businesses in the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of armed robberies of food delivery drivers. In these incidents, the male drivers were making a food delivery when approached by unknown offenders who robbed them at gunpoint before fleeing.

Incident times and locations:

There have been two incidents since April 25, 2015 on beats 1613 and 1624.

4100 block of N. Marmora on April 25, 2015 at 12:22 AM

4900 block of N. Normandy on May 03, 2015 at 1:50 AM

About the offenders:

  • 4100 block of N. Marmora – Three offenders, offender #1 described as a Male, Hispanic, 18-25 years, 5’08”, 150-180 lbs.
  • 4900 N. Normandy – Possibly 1-5 offenders, wearing dark sweatshirts and bandanas.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 008th District of an armed robbery incident which occurred during the month of April. In this incident, the pictured male offender, after ordering a pizza, jumped over the counter, displayed a kitchen knife and removed cash from the register.

Incident times and locations:

  • 7900 Block of S. Cicero Ave. on April 19th, 2015 at approx. 1:00pm.

Offender’s description:

  • Male black, mid 20’s, 5’10”-6’0” approx. 180-200 lbs., wearing a black skull cap, black and white patterned jacket and dark jeans.

Area North Detectives are for assistance from the public to help identify the above subject. He is wanted in connection with burglaries from several condo buildings. Once the suspect gained access to the building and/or parking garage, he would burglaries vehicles and take other items that include mail, and bicycles. There are 15 separate victims involving RD# HY-187630. He is observed using some kind of pry tool to enter through the lobby doors. The suspect has also been seen with a shopping cart during these incidents.

Offender’s description:

The subject can be described as a heavy set male black with a bald head and a mustache and has been seen wearing a hoody.
