Three additional male juveniles were arrested after they were identified as participating in the murder that occurred on the 0-100 block of W. 63rd St. on December 13, 2014 at approximately 12:39 p.m. The 15 year old male victim was walking at this location when the offenders approached and announced a robbery. The victim was shot once in the chest and succumbed to his injuries on the scene. The juveniles were charged accordingly.

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 15th District (North) of Burglary-related incidents that have occurred during the month of November and December. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) force their way into an apartment above or below the store and proceed to cut a hole in the floor or ceiling, allowing them entry into the business. Once inside, offenders burglarize the business.

About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in District 019 of recent robberies that occurred on 11 Dec 2014. In both of these incidents the offender displayed a handgun and demanded property from citizens. The first incident occurred in an alley and the second incident occurred inside the victim’s garage after she parked her car. Incident times and locations are listed below:

• 4500 block of N. Dover on 11 December 2014, at 2:30pm

• 800 block of W. Fletcher on 11 December 2014 at approximately 7:00pm

In these incidents, a lone offender approaches victims (one operating a taxicab), displays a handgun and threatens to shoot the victim if they do not give up property.

On December 10, 2014, Chicago Police arrested 9 offenders in connection to thefts from several retail stores. Area Central detectives charged the below offenders Friday evening after their investigation revealed this group of offenders had over $21,000 worth of merchandise from various retail stores in their possession.
