Derrick Moore Jr. was arrested after he was identified as the person who shot a 28 year old man on January 14, 2015 at approximately 11:00 a.m. in the 6900 block of S. Justine. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Christ Hospital in serious condition. Moore was charged accordingly.
Store Robberies 25th District (Grand Central)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 25th districts of a pattern of convenience store robberies being committed. In two (2) of the robberies, a male black and a male white enter the store, engage the store employee in conversation over merchandise, then walk behind the counter, imply they have a weapon, and then take cartons of cigarettes. In the other two (2) robberies, a male white enters the store, engages the store employee in conversation over merchandise, displays a handgun, and demands money from register.
Wanted for Home Invasion and Attempt Criminal Sexual Assault 10th District (Ogden)
About These Crimes:
This alert gives notice to residents of the 010th District (Ogden) of a Home Invasion / Attempt Criminal Sexual Assault that occurred on the 2900 Block of West 25th Street on the date of January 22nd, 2015 at the approximate time of 4:40 a.m. The below described offender entered a home through a window and attacked an adult female victim while threatening to sexually assault her. The offender fled the home after sleeping children were awoken and interrupted the assault.
Two Charged in Delivery Driver Robberies
Armando Colon and a 16 year old male juvenile were arrested after they were identified as the males who recently robbed two delivery drivers. The first incident occurred on January 14, 2014 at approximately 9:35 p.m. in the 3500 block of W. Dickens. The offenders robbed the 34 year old male victim of an unknown amount of currency and delivery items. The second incident occurred on January 18, 2015, at approximately 9:00 p.m. in the 3500 block of W. Shakespeare Ave. The offenders struck the 52 year old victim in the face before taking an unknown amount of currency and the delivery items. Both offenders were charged accordingly.

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Town Hall (19th) District. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 25th, 2015.

Wanted for Armed Robbery-Handgun 011th District (Harrison)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of three Armed Robberies that have occurred in the month of January. In all three incidents, the offenders approached the victims from behind and displayed a handgun and then demanded property from the victims. The offenders took purses, wallets and cell phones from the victims.
Wanted for Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking 011th District (Harrison)

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Aggravated Vehicular Hijackings that occurred on January 20th. In one incident, three offenders approached the victim and one of the offenders displayed a firearm and the offenders took possession of the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene in her vehicle. In the other incident, a lone offender approached the victim and displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s keys. The offender took possession of the keys and then entered the vehicle and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Garage Burglaries 025th District (North)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 025th District of an increase in garage burglaries that have occurred during the month of January. In these incidents, the offender forced the overhead garage door open and removed property within, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, power tools, etc.
North Side Man Charged in Fatal Traffic Crash
The above offender was arrested and charged in connection to a fatal traffic accident that occurred on the 2200 block of N. Lake Shore Dr. on January 19, 2015; at approximately 1:40 a.m. Rodriguez was traveling southbound on LSD at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle striking a guard rail and tree. The vehicle then came to rest on its roof on a frozen lagoon. A female passenger was transported to Illinois Masonic where she was later pronounced. Rodriguez was also transported to Illinois Masonic for his injuries.
