This alert gives notice to the citizens of robberies that have occurred in the 016th District. In these incidents, 1-2 unknown offender(s) approach a victim from behind, demand property and forcibly

  • Offender #1 is described as being a male black, 25 years of age, 6’00 tall, 180-200 lbs., wearing a blue sweatshirt and black pants.
  • Other offenders are described as being male black, 5’07-6’00 tall; 180 lbs.

These incidents have occurred on beat 1634 within the boundaries of Cicero to Long and Belmont to Irving Park Road as listed below:

    •  5300 block of W. Patterson on March 31 2015 at 11:50 PM
    • 5100 block of W. Grace on April 10, 2015 at 12:15 AM
    • 3900 block of N. Long on April 19, 2015 at 6:20 AM

Fuentes was arrested and charged with the above offense after she recanted her story of being the victim of a kidnapping.   Fuentes originally reported to Area Central detectives that on April 11, 2015, at approximately 8:30 am on the 2000 block of S. Pulaski, while standing at a bus stop a male approached her and struck her in the back head.  Fuentes stated that she was then dragged to a nearby abandoned building and held against her will by three male offenders until she was able to escape on April 14, 2015.  During the course of the investigation, Fuentes openly admitted to fabricating the story and was subsequently taken into custody and charged accordingly.  Charges for Veronica Fuentes

CPD Community Alert19th District Robberries  This alert gives notice to citizens residing in District 019 of recent robberies that occurred on April 5th and April 12th. In these incidents, offender(s) approached the victims and either displayed or implied a gun and directed the victim to make an ATM withdrawal. Incident times and locations are listed below:
