A male juvenile was placed in custody after being identified in connection to an aggravated battery that occurred on the 5900 block of W. North Ave. on April 29, 2015 at approximately 6:15 p.m. The 12 year old victim was walking when he heard gunshots and realized he had been struck. During the incident the victim sustained a gun shot wound to the back and underarm. The victim was taken to West Suburban hospital and later transferred to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. The juvenile offender was charged accordingly.
McNeal and a 17 year old Male Juvenile were arrested and charged after being identified as the two offenders responsible for participating in the armed robbery of an off-duty Oak Park police officer on the 300 block of W 103rd Pl, at approx. 5:13 am on May 03, 2015. The victim was at his garage getting ready to go to work when the (2) offenders approached on foot, and one of the offenders produced a handgun. The second offender began to search the victim at which point the victim drew his weapon and exchanged gunfire with the armed subject. Victim was struck in the forearm and lower leg and taken to Christ Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The offenders were found in a gangway several blocks away by responding officers, and the juvenile had sustained multiple GSWs. Both subjects fit the physical description of the offenders from the shooting and were placed into custody. The juvenile was taken to Christ Hospital for medical treatment and MCNEAL was transported to Area South for processing.
This alert gives notice to the businesses in the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of armed robberies of food delivery drivers. In these incidents, the male drivers were making a food delivery when approached by unknown offenders who robbed them at gunpoint before fleeing.

About the offenders:
- 4100 block of N. Marmora – Three offenders, offender #1 described as a Male, Hispanic, 18-25 years, 5’08”, 150-180 lbs.
- 4900 N. Normandy – Possibly 1-5 offenders, wearing dark sweatshirts and bandanas.
Charges for Juan Flores- Robberies Juan Flores was arrested after he was identified as the person who robbed a liquor store located in the 3800 block of W. North Ave as well as pushing a 79 year old victim to the floor. The incident occurred April 28, 2015 at approximately 11:20pm. Flores was also identified as the person who robbed a convenient store in the 2700 block of N. Harlem. This incident occurred on January 3, 2015 at approximately 9:12pm. Flores was charged accordingly and is scheduled to appear in Central Bond Court.
03MAY15Charges for Powell, Hogan, Belmont Hogan, Powell and Belmont were arrested and charged in connection with two armed robberies. The first robbery occurred at approx. 2:00 am on May 1, 2015 in the 3700 block of S. Vincennes were the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The second robbery occurred at approx. 3:00 am on May 1, 2015 in the 00 – 100 block of E. 21st St. Officers while on patrol were flagged down by the victims of the second robbery who gave officers a detailed description of the offenders and their vehicle. Officers located the offenders on the 500 block of 43rd street. Hogan exited the vehicle revealing a handgun in his waist band area and charged the officer hitting him with his body. The officer’s weapon discharged after Hogan ran into the officer striking the offender. Hogan dropped the weapon and fled. Powell and Belmont were taken into custody without incident. A weapon was recovered. Hogan, Powell and Belmont have all been charged accordingly.
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of several burglaries that have
occurred in the month of April. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) make entry into apartments
and take property.
