The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Roger’s Park (24th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13th, 2015.
Michael Wims, Jr. was arrested in connection to a stabbing that occurred on June 10, 2015, at approx. 4:35 pm on the 200 block of S. Michigan Ave. During a verbal altercation with the 57-year-old male victim, Wims produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the neck. 12Jun15 Charges for Michael Wims Jr.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 008th District (Chicago Lawn) of burglary incidents which have occurred during the months of May and June. In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry into a residence through a door or window and take property from therein. These incidents have occurred in the geographical locations listed below:

Two recent Armed robberies have occurred in the 17th District on beat 1724. In the first incident, three offenders approach a victim in the alley, demand money, display a handgun, point it to the victim’s head and take the victim’s cell phone and money.
In the second incident, a single offender is in the alley, acting as though he needs help. As the victim approaches, the offender strikes him in the head with a handgun and takes the victim’s money.

Rasheed Mujkovic, 22 was arrested on June 8, 2015 after he was identified as the driver in a fatal hit and run traffic accident. The incident occurred on August 20, 2013 in the intersection of Devon and California at approximately 6:20 p.m. Mujkovic was traveling westbound on Devon Ave., turning southbound onto California when he struck an 83 year old male pedestrian in the crosswalk. Mujkovic fled the scene. The pedestrian was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was later pronounced. Mujkovic was charged accordingly. No further details available at this time.
The Chicago Police Department’s Animal Crimes Team, executed a dog fighting related search warrant on Juan Zamora’s residence on June 4, 2015 at approximately 11:45 a.m. Officers recovered 10 pit bull dogs that were living in deplorable conditions. The animals were turned over to Animal Care and Control for treatment. Zamora, 49 was not on scene during the search warrant and turned himself in to CPD on June 8, 2015. Zamora was charged accordingly.
Rashaad Jackson was arrested in connection to a fatal hit and run traffic crash that occurred on the 6400 block of South Ashland Ave at approx. 9:30 pm on June 2nd, 2015.
Rafael Corona was arrested after pointing a handgun at a Chicago Police Officer who was responding to a call of a gang disturbance on the 1700 block of North Talman Ave, at approx. 12:05 am on June 7th, 2015.
Cordarius Lawrence, Darryl Wilson, and Joshua Martin were arrested after they were identified as the men responsible for the murder of a 29-year-old man on February 6, 2014. The incident
occurred on the 8100 block of S. Marshfield Ave. at approximately 2:15 a.m. Officers responded to a call of shots fired and found the male victim unresponsive on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest. 10th district Attempt Luring _HY287940_On June 3, 2015, at approximately 7:50 AM, on the 2600 block of W 21st Place a male Hispanic attempted to lure a 14 year old female into his vehicle. The Offender used his vehicle to block the youth’s path as she attempted to cross the street. At which time she ran away.
