The Chicago Police Department will be conducting DUI Strike Force Patrols in the Ogden (10th) and Albany Park (17th) Districts this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Ogden (10th) District will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th, 2015. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence in the Albany Park (17th) District at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 19th, 2015.  Click Here For More Information

This alert gives notice to residents of the 20th District (Lincoln) of three Robberies occurring at the end of June and beginning of July 2015. In each of the Robberies, the offender(s) approached the victims from behind, knocking them to the ground before taking the victims’ jewelry and wallets. All of the Robberies occurred during the day on the sidewalk.

On July 13, 2015, at approximately 7:20 a.m., two juveniles, a female and a male,
were walking on the 3000 Block of North Francisco when an unknown male grabbed
the female juvenile and dragged her towards a parked white van, which had the rear
doors open. The male juvenile witness then grabbed the legs of the victim and
began yelling. The male offender then picked up property belonging to the victim,
entered the white van, and fled eastbound from the location.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Armed
Robberies that occurred on July 09, 2015. In the first incident, the victim was seated in her
parked vehicle and the offender approached and displayed a handgun and demanded her
wallet. The offender then grabbed the victim’s cell phone and keys and fled the scene on
foot. In the second incident, the two victims were walking on the sidewalk and the offender
approached from behind and displayed a handgun. The offender reached into the pockets
of both victims and removed their cell phones. The offender fled on foot with the property.

An offender was arrested in connection to the death of a 13-month-old child on July 11, 2015. Officers observed Watkins in a vehicle fitting the description of a wanted offender’s vehicle from a fatal shooting that occurred on the 7700 block of S. Kingston Ave. at approx. 1:45 pm on the above date. Watkins then fled in the vehicle and struck a 13-month-old male, who was in a stroller on the sidewalk, in the 6300 block of S.
