This alert gives notice to residents of the 018th District (Near North) of Burglary related incidents during the month of November. In these incidents, an offender makes entry into a residence by breaking the glass on a window or door and proceeds to remove property from within .

Area Central Detectives are seeking assistance in identifying a homicide suspect. On November 1, 2015 at approximately 8:34 a.m  on the 4000 block of West 31st St a 23 year old male sustained a gun shot in the chest after a male offender on foot fired a weapon before fleeing in a vehicle. The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of robbery related incidents that have occurred in the month of November. In these incidents, an unknown offender(s) used force or the threat of force by displaying a handgun and then demanding the victim’s property.  These incidents have taken place on Beat 1614 within the boundaries of East River Road to Canfield Avenue and Higgins Road to Irving Park Road. For More Information Click Here

On November 6, 2015 at approximately 7:36 p.m., two female juveniles were in the front of their residence on the 3400 block of North Page Avenue practicing gymnastic moves, when three unknown white males, driving a burgundy colored, 4 door SUV, drove to the front of the residence.  The occupant in the rear passenger side then lowered his window and yelled to the girls “do you want some candy” placing them in fear for their safety. The two victims ran into the residence and alerted the father who called 911.

Jason Hooks was arrested after he was identified as the person who criminally sexual assaulted a 31 year old female victim on November 14, 2015 at approximately 3:00 a.m., prompting a Community Alert to be issued. This incident occurred on the 600 block of S. Plymouth Court. After the female victim exited the CTA Redline stop at Harrison and State the offender followed her, struck her with a blunt object, and forced her to a secluded area where he sexually  assaulted her. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment. No further information is available at this time.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 001st District of a recent Criminal Sexual Assault. On November 14, 2015, between the hours of 3:00-3:35 a.m., a 31 year old female victim exited the CTA Redline at Harrison and State and was followed by an unknown male offender. The victim was walking southbound in the 600 block of South Plymouth Court when the offender grabbed the victim and struck her with a blunt object. He then forced the victim to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her. The offender took the victim’s purse and fled in an unknown direction.

Description of offender:

  • Male black
  • 20-27 years of age
  • 5’08” to 5’10” tall; 145 to 180 lbs.
  • Brown eyes, Light complexion
  • Short hair style
  • Black leather jacket, black hoody, Chicago White Sox baseball cap, light colored blue jeans with white gym shoes
