This alert gives notice to citizens of the 018th District (Near North) of Robbery related incidents during the month of March. In these incidents, two or three male black offenders approached a victim in the early morning hours of the day, produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s property.

Greater Grand Crossing Man Charged in Shooting
Donell Blassingill, 19 was arrested after he was identified as the man who accidentally shot an 18-year-old male. This incident occurred in the 7000 block of S. Eberhart on March 13, 2016, at approximately 3:25 p.m. Blassingill was inside a residence with acquaintances when he fired a shot with the gun he was holding. The victim was taken to Northwestern Hospital with a gunshot wound to the right arm and is listed in good condition. Blassingill was charged accordingly. Click here for more information.
Chicago Lawn Man Charged with Crashing Vehicle into Government Facility
Jaime Santillan Jr. was arrested after he was identified as the person who drove his vehicle through the main security gate of a government facility and remained on the premises. This incident occurred on March 13, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m. on the 500 block of N. Streeter Drive. Santillan was taken into custody and has been charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.
Offender Charged with 3 Counts of Aggravated Battery
Pierre Stokes was arrested after he was identified as the person who fired a weapon multiple times striking three victims. This incident occurred on March 8, 2016 at approximately 5:40 p.m. in the 7900 block of S. Ashland Avenue.

Two Charged in Armour Square Murder
Natrell Jackson, 18, and a male juvenile were arrested after they were identified as the persons responsible for the murder of a 30-year-old female. This incident occurred on February 26, 2016, at approximately 9:45 p.m., in the 3800 block of S. Princeton. The female victim was a patron of a livery service and was seated in the rear of the vehicle. Shots were fired and a bullet entered through the rear of the vehicle and struck the victim in the back. The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries. Jackson and the juvenile were charged accordingly. Click here for more information.
Four Offenders Charged in Political Rally Melee
The described offenders were arrested and charged for their participation in a disturbance that occurred at a political rally on the 1200 block of W. Van Buren Street on March 11, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m.
