Man Charged in Murder of 51-Year-Old Tavern Employee
Felix Valentin was arrested in connection to a murder that occurred at approx. 11:45 pm on April 2, 2016. Valentin was charged after he was identified as the offender responsible for firing the fatal gunshot that struck a 51-year-old male victim as he worked at a tavern on the 3600 block of N. Pulaski. CPD Community Alert- Seeking to Identify – Red Line Robbery
A Robbery occurred on Mar 29th, 2016 at approximately 08:58am on the Redline train, North Bound, from State St. stop. The offender approached the seated victim, took the victim’s property, and fled the train. Area Central Detectives are asking for assistance identifying this offender.
Juvenile Charged in Bank Robbery

A male juvenile was placed into custody after he was positively identified as the offender who entered a bank located on the 6100 block of S. Archer Ave, displayed a handgun and demanded money before fleeing on foot. This incident occurred on April 12, 2016 at approximately 4:15 p.m. The juvenile was charged accordingly and will appear in Juvenile Court (1100 S. Hamilton) tomorrow, April 14, 2016.
CPD BUSINESS ALERT- Burglaries 019th District
This alert gives notice to business owners having operations in the 019th District (North) of an increase in Burglary related incidents that have occurred during the months of March and April. In these incidents, offender(s) used force and unlawfully entered into restaurants after business hours. Once inside, offender(s) targeted computer equipment and cash from deposit envelopes and cash drawers.

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Rogers Park (24th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016.
Ashburn Man Charged in String of Boost Mobile Robberies
Dionte Smith, 21, was identified through latent prints and victim identification in three armed robberies. These incidents occurred in the 5100 block of S. Kedzie Ave. on March 31, 2016, at 12:50 p.m.; 6400 block of S. Pulaski Ave., on March 31, 2016, at 8:50 p.m.; and the 6600 block of S. Cicero Ave., on April 2, 2016, at 2:22 p.m.
