On June 21, 2016, at approximately 6:45 pm, a 26 year old female victim was recording an engagement video outside the Trump Hotel at 401 N Wabash Ave. The pictured offender, in camouflage pants, pushed the victim to the ground and took her video camera and tripod. The offender then fled on foot, westbound from the scene, with a second male.
About This Crime
On June 21, 2016, at approximately 8:40 a.m., three juveniles, two males, ages five and nine, and a female, age 12, were walking southbound on Central Park towards the 3500 block of W. Arthington Street when they encountered an unknown offender in a red vehicle.
Mattison and Gipson were arrested on June 23, 2016. Officers responded to a call of a person with a gun in the 0-99 Block of East 42nd St on June 21, 2016 at 4:28pm. As officers arrived on scene they observed the offending vehicle attempting to flee, and consequently strike another vehicle in traffic. This collision resulted in the death of the 3rd occupant inside the offenders’ vehicle. Mattison (a passenger) was identified as the person who pointed a hand gun out of the window of the vehicle prior to the accident. Gipson (the driver) is currently in stable condition at Stroger Hospital. Passengers of other vehicle, Female, 29, and Male, 6, were taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition with minor injuries. The offenders were charged accordingly. No further details are available at this time.
About the Crime:
The offenders enter commercial property (Subway restaurants; gas stations; 7-11stores). The first offender displays a handgun, either in his hand or by lifting his shirt to reveal it in his waistband.

The DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Austin (15th) District will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016; the DUI Strike Force Patrol set to be conducted in the Rogers Park (24th) District will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
