This alert gives notice to citizens of the 006th District (Gresham) of recent Armed Robberies that occurred on Beat 634 between May 03, 2016 and June 02, 2016. In each incident, one to five unknown male black offender(s) approached the victims, and by force or at gunpoint took the victims cash, cellular phones or anything of value.
This alert gives notice to citizens of the 5th District (Calumet) of recent incidents that have occurred. Multiple male offenders approach a lone victim, demand and take the victim’s property. The offenders strike the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.
This community alert is to inform citizens of two recent Armed Robbery incidents that have occurred in the 25th District. In these incidents an offender approached a lone female, grabbed her, placed a hard object against her back, and demanded property.
Jason Missak was arrested after being identified as the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal traffic crash that occurred on June 5, 2016, at approximately 7:00 a.m. on the 3200 block of W. Belmont. The offender was driving a 2005 Jaguar westbound on Belmont Avenue and ran a red light at the intersection of Kedzie Avenue striking the passenger side of a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. The impact caused the Chevy to carom into two other vehicles. The Chevy contained a 64-year-old male driver who was critically injured and a 57-year-old female passenger who died as a result of injuries suffered during the crash.
Four armed robbery incidents have occurred in the 17th District. In these cases, 2 Male Hispanic offenders approach a single victim, display a handgun, and demand the victim’s property.
