Area Central Detectives are seeking to identify the below pictured subject in relation to a burglary that occurred in the 012th District (Near West). This incident occurred at City Escape Garden Center located at 3022 W. Lake Street, on 12 AUG 18, at approximately 6:47PM to 11:30 PM.
13 Aug 18 Attempt Child Luring 16th District
On August 12, 2018 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the 9 year old male victim was riding his bicycle northbound on the 6400 block of North Natoma Avenue while accompanied by his mother. The two unknown offenders riding in a red pick-up truck approached the mouth of the alley heading westbound between Imlay St. and Schreiber Ave. The male passenger of the vehicle asked the victim if he was alright at which time the female driver asked the victim if he needed a ride anywhere. The victim replied “no, my mother is right over there”, at which time the vehicle sped off at a high rate of speed northbound on Natoma Ave. and then Eastbound on Schreiber Ave.
13 AUG 18- Community Alert 012th District Robberies P18-1-239
This alert gives notice in the 012th District (Near West) of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of August. In these incidents, the offender(s) approached female(s) victims displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The offender(s) fled the scene on foot.
13 AUG 18- 016th District Community Alert (P18-N-209) Catalytic Converters Thefts
Numerous catalytic converter thefts have occurred in the 016th District. The catalytic converter thefts typically occurred at night or very early morning hours when vehicles were parked for prolonged periods of time. Unknown offender(s) cut and removed the catalytic converter.
10 Aug 18-Comuunity Alert 22nd District Thefts and Burglaries P18-2-064
This alert gives notice to residents in the 22nd District of burglary/ theft related incidents which have occurred. In these incidents, offender(s) gained entry into a residences and garages and removed items from therein. Garages and vehicles both locked and unlocked were targeted
09 AUG 18- Community Alert 017th District Home Invasion Burglary
This alert gives notice to citizens in the 017th District of two Burglary/ Home Invasions which have occurred. In each case unknown offender(s) entered the victim’s residence and took items from within. The victim(s) were home at the time. The offender(s) gained entry to the victim(s) home by claiming they had been working nearby, and were returning the victim’s dog who had escaped the residence.
08 Aug 18 Robberies 3rd District (Grand Crossing) P18-1-221ACA
This updated alert gives notice to citizens in the 003rd District (Grand Crossing) of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of July and August. In these incidents, the offender approaches the victims on the sidewalk or in an alley, produces a handgun, and demands USC or their wallet. In one incident, the offender approaches on a mountain bike. In another, the offender flees on a Divvy bike. Incident times and locations are listed below:
05 Aug 18 11th Aggravated Criminal Sexual AssaultOn August 5, 2018 at approximately 11:00 a.m., a 21-year-old woman was walking northbound on Cicero Ave. from Madison St. when the offender approached her and engaged in a conversation. The offender displayed a dark colored object in his waistband and ordered her to walk with him. The offender led the victim to the rear porch area of an abandoned building in the 4600 block of West Washington Blvd. where he sexually assaulted her. The offender then fled in an unknown direction.
04 Aug 18 Child Luring 19th District CA JB-378169
On August 03, 2018 at approximately 10:18 p.m., the 13 year old male victim was walking northbound on the 4200 block of North Western Avenue. The unknown offender was sitting in his parked vehicle on the west side of the street facing southbound. The offender motioned with his left hand for the victim to come to the vehicle. The minor victim in fear for his safety ran home. The victim notified his father who called 911. It is unknown in which direction the offender fled.
