18 Sep 18 - Community Alert - 22nd District Residential Burglary
This alert gives notice to five recent residential burglaries that have occurred within the boundaries of the 22nd District (Morgan Park) in the Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhoods on beat 2212. In these cases, an unknown offender entered houses and removed electronics and jewelry from within.  In four of these incidents, the offender entered through an unlocked front door or open window.

On August 27, 2018 at 6:20 P.M. a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 1800 18 Sep 18 MAIU Community Alert JB411243
block of West 35TH Street.  The 39 year old woman was struck by an unknown vehicle driven by a male, matching the below description.

18 Sep 18 - Community Alert Criminal Sexual Abuse 17th District JB439834b
On September 17, 2018 at approximately 7:30 p.m., a lone female was walking eastbound on the 4700 block of west Addison Street when she noticed a subject following her from behind.  The offender, a male Hispanic in his 20’s, approached the victim and engaged her in conversation in the Spanish language. The offender then inappropriately touched the victim about the body and attempted to move her to another location.  The victim was able to fight the offender off, causing her minor injury.  The offender then fled from the scene in an unknown direction

15 Sep 18 - 1st and 2nd District Robberies - P18-1-286 CA NP

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 1st (Central) and 2nd (Wentworth) Districts of robbery related incidents, which have occurred during the month of September. Recently, two to four offenders driving a gray four door vehicle approached the victims on the street or sidewalk. One offender displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded property. The other offenders battered the victims and took their property.

15 Sep 18 - Business Alert - Commercial Burglaries 14th District P18-N-237
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 14
th District of two forcible entry

burglaries that have occurred recently. Unknown offender(s) forced entry into the

businesses in the overnight hours when the businesses were closed. Once inside,

the offenders ransacked the businesses and stole property within. Surveillance

video suggests that the same offender committed both burglaries.

15 Sep 18 - Residential Burglary 14th District Community Alert P18-N-238
This alert gives notice to residents in the 014th District of two forcible entry burglaries that have occurred recently.  Unknown offenders cut the screen to an open window, enter into a residence in the evening hours when the residents are not home.  Once inside, the offenders steal various items including cash, computer equipment and bicycles.

12 Sep 18 Community Alert - Robberies Alert #P18-1-285CA

This alert gives notice to residents in the 3rd District (Grand Crossing) of robbery related incidents that have occurred during the months of August and September on Beat 321. In these incidents, the victims were lured to the locations through online applications, such as “Offer Up” and “Let Go”, to purchase property.  When the victims arrived, the offenders took their property by force.

11 Sep 18 - 2nd District Wanted for Attempt Luring JB430993

On September 11, 2018, at approximately 8:35 a.m. in the 800 block of East 45th Street, an unknown offender attempted to lure an 11-year-old female into his vehicle. The victim was walking westbound in the 800 block of East 45th street when an unknown offender drove up behind the victim and exited his vehicle displaying a small pocket knife. The offender yelled, “hey, come here little girl.” The victim ran as the offender chased her and she was able to get away. The offender got back into his vehicle, made a U-turn and drove eastbound in the 800 block of East 45th Street.
