20 Nov 18-Community Alert - Child Luring 3rd District ( Grand Crossing) JB522630 NPOn November 15, 2018, between 3:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the 600 block of East 65th St, an unknown White male attempted to lure a 10-year-old female into his black van. The victim was playing in a school playground when the unknown offender pulled over, rolled down the passenger side window and offered the victim candy trying to lure her into the van. The victim ran back towards the school and the vehicle drove off eastbound on 65th street.

The offender then asks to inspect the iPhone at which time the offender snatches the phone and runs off without paying for it.

This alert gives notice to citizens of the 006th District (Gresham) and of Beat 621 regarding a recent Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault which occurred on November 18th, 2018 at 3:30 a.m. A 57-year-old female was walking to the Red Line under the viaduct on 78th St between Wallace Ave and Fielding Ave when she was approached and sexually assaulted at knifepoint by a masked offender who threatened to kill her. Offender also stole the victim’s bank and debit cards, her Illinois I.D. and U.S. Currency.
