27 DEC 19- Community Alert- Attempt Child Luring 001st District JB568784

On Thursday, December 27, 2018 at approximately 8:32 a.m., in the 1900 block of South Archer Ave., an offender driving a 4-door Green Lexus attempted to lure a 14-year-old female. The offender approached the victim, engaged the victim in conversation and then offered her money. The 14-year-old victim ignored him and the unknown male drove Eastbound on Archer Ave. from Dearborn St.

26 DEC 18- Offender Charged with First Degree Murder 10800 Block of South Prospect
Wallace was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder after he was identified as the offender who stabbed a female victim in the 10800 Block of South Prospect on December 24, 2018 at approx. 1:50 p.m. The victim was discovered in an alley, unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to the lower legs and sustained blunt trauma injuries to her face. The victim was pronounced on scene. The offender was subsequently identified and placed into custody in the 10500 Block of South Church on December 24, 2018 at approximately 9:35 p.m. No further information is available at this time.

26 Dec 18- Community Alert- Residential Burglaries-20th District-P18-N-338 NP

This alert gives notice to recent Residential Burglaries that have occurred within the boundaries of the 20th District (Lincoln). These burglaries have occurred within a couple blocks of each other. In these Burglaries, the offender(s) gained entry into the premises by forcing open windows and doors. Once inside, the offender(s) removed property from the apartment.

24 Dec 18 - Community Alert Wanted for Attempt Child Luring 17th District (Albany Park) JB561356 NP

On Thursday, December 20, 2018, at approximately 3:15p.m., an 11-year-old female juvenile was walking home from school.  Upon walking northbound on the east side of Drake Ave., she was approached by a White or White Hispanic male driving an unknown white van with splattered yellow paint markings on the passenger side of the vehicle.  An unknown person lowered his passenger side window and signaled her to come to him with his hand while saying “come here” with the intention of luring her to him. The victim did not engage in conversation and fled to safety.  The unknown person fled northbound in the vehicle and then turned westbound on Elston Ave.

This alert gives notice to several burglaries that have occurred within the boundaries of the 19th District (Town Hall).  In these burglaries, the offender(s) entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked door or through forcing open a window/door.  Once inside, the offender(s) took various items from the victim’s home.

This alert gives notice to recent Garage Burglaries that have occurred within the boundaries of the 19th District.  In these burglaries, the offender(s) gained access to the residential garages that are being left unsecured or by other unknown means. Once inside, the offender(s) stole property from within or rummaged through the victim’s vehicle for proceeds.

This alert gives notice to several burglaries to businesses located within the boundaries of the 19th District (Town Hall).  In these burglaries, the offender(s) forced their way into the businesses either by the front or rear door or in one incident through the skylight in the roof.  Once inside, the offenders stole an unknown amount of US currency, registers, safes and other merchandise.
