07 Dec 18-Seeking to Identify CTA Robbery
Area Central Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the above two suspects responsible for a Robbery which occurred on November 14, 2018 at approximately 8:46p.m. on the CTA Red line train located at 608 S. State St. The victims seated on the train, and as the train approached the Harrison stop is when the offenders took the victims’ cell phones from their hands, by force, fleeing the train.

07 Dec 18-Community Alert- 20th District Residential Burglaries
This alert gives notice to three recent Residential Burglaries that have occurred within the boundaries of the 20th District (Lincoln). These burglaries have occurred within a couple blocks of each other. In these Burglaries, the offender(s) gain entry into the premises through unlocked doors or by forcing open windows and doors. Once inside, the offender(s) remove property from the apartment.

07 DEC 18 Community Alert-20th District Residential Burglaries-2
This alert gives notice to recent Residential Burglaries that have occurred within the boundaries of the 20th District (Lincoln). These burglaries have occurred within a couple blocks of each other. In these Burglaries, the offender(s) gain entry to premises by using deceptive ruses. Offender(s) gain entry to the residence by portraying themselves as repairmen. Offender(s) then lure the victim into another room or outside while another offender steals valuables such as jewelry and USC.

07 DEC 18- Community Alert- 18th District - Robbery Vehicular Hijacking JB529849
This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th (Near North) District of a recently reported aggravated vehicular hijacking.  In this incident, the victim was unloading her vehicle when she was approached by offender(s). The offender produced a handgun and announced a robbery. The offender(s) demanded their car keys. The victim complied and the offenders entered the victim’s vehicle and fled from the location.

07 DEC 18- 025th District Comunity Alert Residental Burglaries (P18-N-306(CA))
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 25th District (Grand Central) of several recent residential burglaries that have occurred. In these incidents, the offender forcibly entered the residences by forcing the rear door open. In these incidents the offender encountered the resident and fled. In one of these incidents the offender was successful and removed jewelry, and money from the residences.

06 DEC 18- Business Alert 019th District Burglaires (P18-N-303)
This alert gives notice to related Burglaries to businesses located within the boundaries of the 019th District (Town Hall).  In these incidents, the offender(s) forced their way into the businesses by entering through the front or rear door or through the skylight in the roof.  Once inside, the offender(s) are removed property.

06 Dec 2018 -Preliminary Statement on Police Involved Shooting - 3400 W
CHICAGO – On Wednesday December 5, 2018 at approximately 11:23 p.m., Harrison (11th) District Police Officers observed a vehicle in the parking lot of a gas station in the 3900 block of West Roosevelt that was wanted for firing several shots in the vicinity earlier in the evening.   Officers approached on foot at which time the male driver accelerated towards the officers striking a squad car and fence

05-Dec-18 Catalytic Converter Thefts 16th District (Jefferson Park) P18-N-302(CA) --NP

Numerous catalytic converter thefts have been occurring throughout Chicago and the 16th District. After a catalytic converter has been removed, the vehicle will sound loud and “gravelly” when started. Catalytic converter thefts typically occur at night or during very early morning hours and when vehicles are parked for prolonged periods in areas accessible to thieves. In these incidents, an unknown offender(s) cut and removed the catalytic converter from vehicles.
