CPD Community Alert-Commercial Burglaries in the 5th District P18-2-004
This alert gives notice of recent Burglaries to businesses that have occurred within the boundaries of the 5th District (Calumet). In these cases, the below described offender made entry to closed businesses by breaking the glass front door, prying the rear door, or cutting a hole in the roof. This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 009th District (Deering) of burglary incidents which have occurred during the month of January. In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry by force into residences and take property from therein. These incidents have occurred at various hours of the day in the general geographical locations listed below:

Unknown offender(s) entered the residence either through an open rear door or forced entry through a rear door. Once inside the offender(s) took various miscellaneous items. All three incidents occurred during daytime hours.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 6th District, in the Burnside neighborhood, of a pattern of robbery related incidents which occurred in the past two weeks. In these incidents, victims are lured to the location under the guise of buying or selling items via virtual marketplaces then robbed, by armed offenders, of their money or property. In the most recent incident, the victim was also sexually assaulted.
