07 May 19-Business Alert 25th District Burglaries
This alert gives notice to business in the 25th District (Grand Central) and 15th District (Austin) of recent burglaries. In these incidents, the unknown offender cuts power to the location and gains access to the business by breaking through the front door/window. In one of the burglaries, the offender gained access via the roof.
06 May 19 - Community Alert - 14th District Burglary - P19-N-121(CA)
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 14th District (Shakespeare) of recent residential burglaries that have occurred on beat 1413. In these incidents, an unknown offender made forced entry into the victim’s residence, either by opening a side window or by forcing the front door open. After making entry the offender removed electronics, usc, jewelry, medical marijuana, and/or tools.
06 May 19 - Community Alert - 12 District - Vehicular Hijacking_Motor Vehicle Theft
This alert gives notice in the 012th District (Near West) of a Vehicular Hijacking and Motor Vehicle Theft, which have occurred during the months of April and May on Beat 1223. In both incidents the victims exit their vehicles and the offender enters and drives away. In one incident a child was inside but was able to escape after the offender displayed a handgun.

On the 24th of April at 7:35 a.m. at the CTA bus stop located at 10300 South Prospect Avenue Offender makes gestures and engaged victim in conversation in an attempt to get her into his car.
04 May 19 - Community Alert - 3rd District Robbery - P19-1-144CA
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 003rd District (Grand Crossing) of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of April and May. In these incidents, offender(s) approach victims on street or sidewalk (often while sitting in their vehicles), produce handgun, demand/take property, before fleeing area. In one incident, the offenders approach in an SUV (possibly a blue or green RAV4). These incidents have occurred in the geographical locations listed below:
