16 Feb 2019 - Police Involved Shooting - 2100 Block of South Keeler

On Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at approximately 8:31 PM, 10th District Tactical Officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.  While following the vehicle, officers observed the car strike a parked vehicle and curb before coming to a stop in the 2100 Block of South Keeler.  A male passenger exited the vehicle at which time an armed confrontation ensued, causing an officer to discharge his weapon, striking the offender.  The offender was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his wounds and is in critical condition.  Two weapons were recovered on scene.

16 Feb 19-17th District Attempt Robbery
This alert gives notice of two attempt robbery incidents that have occurred within the boundaries of the 17th District (Albany Park) on Beat 1723. In both of these incidents, the offenders attempted to take a bag or purse from the victim. In the first incident, the offenders struck the victim in the face and attempted to take her purse. In the second incident, the offenders pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to take her bag.

16 Feb 19-Community Alert-24th District Hit and Run JC 152626
On February 14th, 2019 at approximately 5:30 P.M., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the 2200 Block of W. Devon Ave. The 59-year-old female was struck by an unknown red/maroon 2013-2017 Nissan Altima which fled eastbound on Devon Avenue.

15 FEB 19 Community Alert -Aggravated Battery 19th District (Town Hall) JC-151601 NP

On February 13, 2019 at 11:06 p.m., a 25-year-old victim was seated on a northbound redline train at Addison when the male offender approached and started swearing at her.  The offender then walked up to the victim and repeatedly struck her on the head and body.  The offender then exited the train at the Addison stop and re-entered the train and continued the assault.  The offender then exited the train at Addison and fled in an unknown direction.

15 Feb 19 - Business Alert - Armed Robberies 8th District ( Chicago Lawn) & 22nd district (Morgan Park) 19-CWP-005 (BA) NP

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) & 22nd District (Morgan Park) of recent armed robberies which occurred on beats 831, 835, 2211 & 2221.  In these incidents, a male offender, wearing a mask, entered small retail stores, or fast food restaurants, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register.

15 FEB 19 Community Alert -Residential Burglaries 16th District (Jefferson Park) P19-N-043(CA) --NP

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of residential burglaries incidents that have taken place on Beat 1621, within the boundaries of Cicero to Central and Devon to Elston. There have been two incidents that have occurred since February 13, 2019. In these incidents, an unknown offender(s) gained entry by forcibly kicking or prying open the front door(s). The offender(s) then took an unknown amount of US Currency.
