About the Crime: 

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 008 & 009 Districts of recent Robbery incidents that occurred in the months of May & June. In each incident, Victims are trying to sell their Vehicle on Facebook Market Place.   Offender makes contact with the victim about selling their vehicle Via Facebook Market Place Social Media.  Offender and victim meet up at a certain location for a test Drive. When the offender is doing a test drive, the offender then asks the victim for the title of the vehicle.   Offender looks at the Title of the vehicle and then produces a Handgun, and tells the victim to exit the vehicle.   Offender flees the location with the victim’s vehicle. 

About the Crime: 

This alert gives notice to residents of the 018th and 001st Districts of recently reported residential burglary incidents from apartments.  During each incident, the offender(s) forces entry through front doors using a pry tool to gain access to the unit. Once inside, the offender(s) ransacks the apartment and removes property. The offender(s) then flees on foot from the scene. These incidents occurred in Beats 1831,1834 and 0121.
