"I am a lifelong Chicago Southsider who is fortunate to work where I live. The communities of the 022nd District are populated with those who serve the citizens of Chicago: police officers, firefighters, paramedics, teachers, sanitation personnel, bus drivers, park district employees, local small business owners, etc. Likewise, approximately 60% of the officers who work in the 022nd District also live in the 022nd District. We are the little league coaches, church attendees, and community volunteers who strive to make this corner of the city one that is safe for those who call it their home."
