I was born and reared on the southside of Chicago. I've lived in the Englewood, Greater Grand Crossing, South Shore, and Washington Heights communities. My secondary education began at Emil G. Hirsch Metropolitain High School and was completed at Jean Baptiste Point DuSable High School. My post secondary degrees, Roosevelt University (BA) and Saint Xavier University (MBA), are from local higher educational institutions as well. I am a true Chicagoan. My leisure time is spent with family and community engagement activities. I enjoy gardening and traveling. My vision for our community is to have a safer environment through a robust working relationship, with the stakeholders, grounded in collaboration and transparent best practices. Our collaborative efforts will be fostered through meaningful beat meetings, 'Together We Can' meetings, Block Club meetings, and a myriad of other impactful community-based initiatives. We as a community will build upon the African proverb, 'It takes a village to raise a child'. Our community is the village.
