There have been four recent robberies of Pizza Delivery Drivers in the 017th District. In each of these cases a food order was placed, but when the driver arrived to make the delivery multiple offenders approached him, displayed a weapon, and took the driver’s wallet, phone, and food order. In one case, the offender displayed a handgun. In all of the cases, at least one offender was armed with a knife.

There have been three recent Commercial Robberies in the 17th and 20th Districts.  In these cases, two offenders or three offenders entered the business, displayed a blue steel handgun and demanded money from the register.  The offenders moved the victims to the rear of the store or into a storage area and took money, alcohol, cigarettes and other property.

There have been three recent Commercial Robberies in the 17th District.  In these cases, one or two offenders entered the business, displayed a silver or blue steel handgun and demanded money from the register.  In two cases, a single offender entered the store.  In another case, two offenders entered the store.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 17th (Albany Park) District of recent residential burglaries that have occurred to residences on Beats 1732 and 1733. In these incidents, the offender forcibly enters residences by either prying open or kicking in rear/side doors and takes property from therein. For More Information Please Click Here

13-Jan-16 017th District Residental Burglaries P16-N-006(CA)

About the Crime:

There have been recent Commercial Burglaries in the 17th District. In these cases, unknown offenders forcibly enter a business by either prying open a side door, or entering through the roof. The offenders then disable the alarm and video systems, and take property from the businesses.

Incident times and locations:

4600 Block of West Belmont on January 2, 2016 at 3:40 am.

3600 Block of North Pulaski on January 7, 2016 between 1:00 and 7:00 am.

About the Offenders:

Unknown male offenders wearing dark clothing with hooded sweatshirts and their faces covered.

What you can do:

Be aware of this crime and alert other Businesses.

Business owners should ensure that their business equipped with a working

video surveillance system and Burglar alarm.

Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s)

including any vehicle description and license plate information as well as

direction of flight, if known.
