This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 11th District (Harrison) of recent residential burglaries that have occurred on Beat 1111 and Beat 1113 during the end of May through beginning of June. 10 Jun 17 17th Dist Attempt Child LuringOn June 8, 2017 at, approximately 6:00 p.m., an 11 year old male victim was on the phone with a relative while stopped at the corner of Christiana and Bryn Mawr. The unknown offender approached the victim and told the victim he could help him find the person he was on the phone with and told the victim to walk with him to the restaurant. The victim said no and rode away on his bicycle. The offender walked Eastbound on Bryn Mawr. The victim notified his brother who called 911.

Englewood Man Charged in Murder
08 Jun 17 – Charges for Quinton Gates, 18
Quinton Gates was arrested after being identified as the person who murdered a 19-year-old male on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at approximately 7:47 p.m., in the vicinity of the 700 block of W. Marquette Road. Gates approached the male victim and fired several shots striking the victim in the head and body before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to Christ Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. No further information is available at this time.
