About This Crime
On May 13, 2017, at approximately 9:50 p.m., an 8 year-old female was riding her
bicycle on the 700 block of N. Long Ave. when an unknown male subject approached
her near the intersection of Long Ave. and Chicago Ave. The male subject pointed to
the park located at Howe School across the street and stated to her, “Meet by the park,
I will be there.” The child then immediately rode her bicycle back home. The male
subject then walked southbound on Long Ave. and westbound on Huron Ave.
About the Offender
Male Black, approximately 35-55 years of age, 5’08”-5’09” in height, 160-180 pounds,
black hair, short hair style, brown eyes, possibly wearing an orange shirt.
What You Can Do
• Call 911 to report any suspicious persons or activity.
• Walk in pairs.
• Don’t talk to strangers or approach strange vehicles.
• Be aware of your surroundings and travel in well lit and populated areas.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 20th District (Lincoln) to recent Strong Armed Robberies that have occurred within the District. During these incidents, the lone female victims were approached by the offender(s) on foot. The offender(s) pushed the victims and took property that the victims were holding in their hands before fleeing.

About This Crime
On May 12, 2017, at approximately 8:04 A.M., a minor female was walking to school
from the 4900 block of Monroe St., traveling E/B. The unknown offender was walking
S/B on Lavergne Ave. and began to follow the victim as she walked E/B on Monroe St.
toward Cicero Ave. The offender walked up beside the victim and told her “You are
beautiful” and continued to walk E/B with the victim. The victim then began to walk N/B
on Cicero Ave when the offender told the victim “You are too young for this” and
displayed his penis to the victim. The victim then ran N/B on Cicero and ran to Kipp
Create School at 4818 W. Ohio St., where the victim attends and alerted school
officials. School officials then in turn called police.
About the Offender
• The offender is a male black, approximately 24-45 years of age, 5″06″ to 5’08” in
height, 150 to 190 lbs., medium complexion, with brown eyes. The offender was
last seen wearing red/black/gold leather jacket and blue jean pants.

• Call 911 to report any suspicious persons or activity
• Walk in pairs
• Don’t talk to strangers or approach strange vehicles

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice in the 12th and 14th Districts of motor vehicle theft related
incidents that occurred during the months of April and May. In these incidents, the
offender’s rear ended the victim’s car and when the victim exited their vehicle to assess
the situation/damage, one offender enters the victim’s vehicle and flees the scene in
victim’s vehicle.
The incidents are listed below:
• 1100 Block of South Racine Avenue on April 7, 2017 at 5:24PM
• 400 Block of North Damen Avenue on April 10, 2017 at 7:30PM
• 500 Block of North Ashland Avenue on April 23, 2017 at 3:50 PM
• 700 Block of West Roosevelt Road on April 24, 2017 at 9:25 AM
• 1000 Block of West 15th Street on April 24, 2017 at 9:45AM
• 200 Block of North Ada Street on April 24, 2017 at 4:19 PM

About the Offenders:
• Two to three offenders, one described as male black, approximately 18-25 years
of age, 5’04”-5’06”, 140-160lbs, dark complexion with possible scar on face and
cross tattoo on forehead; one described as male black with black dreadlocks hair
style
What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If video surveillance equipment is present, please save a copy of the incident for
investigating detectives
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible

About the crime:
On April 19th, 2017 at 10:45 P.M. a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing
the street at 5408 S. Pulaski Rd. The 28 year old man was struck by the below
described vehicle causing critical injuries.
About the vehicle:
The vehicle is dark in color, possibly black, mid-sized SUV (Honda CR-V). The vehicle
was last seen traveling northbound on Pulaski towards 54th St.

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice of two recent Vehicle Hijackings that occurred within the
boundaries of the 22nd District (Morgan Park) on beat 2221. In these cases, a Male
African American, between 45-50 years old approached female senior citizens, in
the area or 9300 S. Ashland. The offender grabbed the ladies purses, and then
entered and fled the area in their cars. Incidents occurred between 11:00am-
1:00pm. The offender displayed a handgun in one incident.
Incident times and locations:
• 9200 Block of S. Ashland, Sunday, May 7th, 2017 at 11:00am
• 9300 Block of S. Ashland, Wednesday, May 10th, 2017, at 1:00pm
About the Offender:
• The offender was described to police as Male, African American between 45-
50 years old. Standing 5’07” tall, weighing 150lbs. Subject was armed with a
handgun.
What you can do:
• Walk with a friend or group when visiting an unfamiliar neighborhood.
• If confronted by the offenders, attempt to remain calm.
• Keep your purse secured with the strap across your body
• Keep tracking software and security locks on your cell phone.
• Document serial numbers for your electronics and keep a record at your
residence.
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to police.
• Be aware of your surroundings and walk in well-lit areas.
• Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of any suspicious
people including any vehicle description and license plate information.

This alert gives notice of several motor vehicle thefts that occurred within the
boundaries of the 17th District (Albany Park) on Beat 1732. In all of these incidents,
the unknown offender(s) stole motor vehicles that were parked on residential streets
with the doors locked.
Incident times and locations:
• 3300 Block of North Ridgeway Avenue on April 24, 2017 from 9:30 am to 3:00
pm.
• 3600 Block of West Roscoe Street on April 25, 2017 at 7:05 am.
• 3800 Block of North Pulaski Road on April 25, 2017 from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
• 3800 Block of North St Louis Avenue on April 25, 2017 at 7:30 pm.
• 4000 Block of West Warwick Avenue on April 27, 2017 at 7:10 am.
• 3300 Block of North Ridgeway Avenue on May 6, 2017 at 8:00 pm.
