This alert gives notice to business community of the 007th District (ENGLEWOOD) of armed robberies involving similarly described offenders. In each incident, the offenders entered the business. A firearm was produced and the stores were robbed.
CPD Community Alert- Robberies in the 4th District
This alert gives notice to residents of the South Chicago (004th) District of two recent robberies that occurred along 87th Street between Phillips and Colfax Avenues. In each incident, the victims were either riding a CTA bus or had just exited a CTA Bus when they were approached by the offender(s) who battered and robbed them.

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the
boundaries of the 014th District (Shakespeare). In these two cases, the offender
displayed a long barreled firearm to the victim and demanded their property. In one
incident, the offender took and fled in the victim’s automobile.
Incident times and locations:
• 3000 block N. Sawyer Ave., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 4:35 PM
• 2600 block N. Elston Ave., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 8:15 PM
About the Offender:
One male, black offender, 25-42 years old, 5’11” to 6’4″ tall, weighing between 170-
180 pounds. He was wearing a maroon/ burgundy cardigan sweater (worn inside
out), brown polo shirt, black baseball cap or a beige floppy style fishing hat, and grey
sweatpants.
The offender is armed with a long barreled firearm with a brown handle.
What you can do:
• Be aware of this crime.
• Pay special attention to any suspicious persons or vehicles loitering in the area.
• Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s)
including any vehicle description and license plate information.
