About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 008th and 009th District of burglary
incidents which have occurred during the month of August. In these incidents, an
offender gained entry into a business by removing the front door locking cylinder and
removed money from the register. The incidents are listed below:
4200 Block of S. Archer Ave on 03 August, 2017 at approximately 06:15 A.M.
5900 Block of S. Pulaski Ave on 05 August, 2017 at approximately 01:00 A.M.
4000 Block of W. 63rd Street on 05 August, 2017 at approximately 04:38 A.M.
3000 Block of W. 47th Street on 05 August, 2017 at approximately 10:00 A.M.
5700 Block of S. Pulaski on 05 August, 2017 at approximately 12:30 P.M.
About the Offender:
Male-Black, 28 to 55 YOA, 150 to 200 lbs, Baseball hat, glasses
What you can do:
• Keep the perimeter of your property well lit
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• Keep doors and windows secured
• Immediately repair any broken windows, doors or locks
• If video surveillance is available, save and make a copy of the incident for
investigating detectives.
• Make an agreement with your neighbors to watch each other’s homes for suspicious
activity.
• If you are a victim do not touch anything, call police immediately
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
