This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th (Near North) District of two recently reported armed robberies. In each incident, the offender enters a small retail establishment, displays a silver handgun, and demands cash from the cash register. The offender then flees the area on foot. Surveillance video recovered from both incidents indicates the same offender committed both armed robberies.
