This alert gives notice to the businesses in the 14^th District (Shakespeare) and 25^th District (Grand Central), of recent strong arm robberies that have occurred on beats 1412 and 2523. In these incidents, an unknown offender entered the businesses and acted as if he was going to purchase an item. After the employee opened the cash register, the offender proceeded to take money from the cash register. In both of the listed incidents, the offender struggled with the employee and the offender was ultimately able to take an unknown amount of US currency from the cash register.
