16 JAN 19-Community Alert-4th District Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault
This alert gives notice to citizens of the 004th District (South Chicago) and of Beat 413 of a recent Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault: Handgun which occurred on January 15th, 2019 at 06:30 P.M. when a 29-year-old female was walking to a residence. While walking under the viaduct in the 9400 Block of S. Woodlawn Ave, she was approached by a male offender who asked her for money. The victim replied that she did not have any money. The offender then produced a silver/chrome short barreled revolver and forced the victim up on top of the rail road tracks where he sexually assaulted the victim at gun point and threatened to kill her. The offender was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black facemask and dark-colored pants.
