About the Crime:
This alert gives notice in the 012th District of burglary related incidents that occurred
during the month of February/March. In these incidents, the offenders entered the
victim’s residence. The incidents are listed below:
• 2000 Block of West 19th Street on February 26, 2017 between 3:00PM and
11:50PM.
• 1800 Block of South Ashland Avenue on March 1, 2017 at 8:40PM.
• 2100 Block of West 21st Place on March 5-6, 2017 between 6:00PM and
7:00AM.
About the Offenders:
• Unknown subject(s)
What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth,
etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If video surveillance equipment is present, please save a copy of the incident
for investigating detectives
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
