8th District (Chicago Lawn)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to the citizens in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) of robbery
incidents that occurred during the months of March and April. In these incidents, the
offenders approached the victim and demanded property. Incident times and
locations are listed below:
• 5500 Block of S. Christiana Ave on March 13, 2017 at approximately 4:40
P.M.
• 5500 Block of S. Christiana Ave on April 4, 2017 at approximately 10:29 P.M.
About the Offenders:
(1) Male, Hispanic, 17-19 years of age, 5’07 to 5’09, 140 to 160 lbs
(2) Male, Hispanic, 17-19 years of age, 5’08, 170 lbs
What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth,
etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If video surveillance equipment is present, please save a copy of the incident
for investigating detectives
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
