On July 15, 2017 at approximately 4:57 a.m., on the 400 Block of N. Kedzie Avenue, a 60-year-old male, a Marine veteran, was walking from his residence to obtain dialysis treatment for diabetes when an unknown offender approached the victim, displayed a handgun (revolver) and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim refused to comply at which time the offender fatally shot the victim. The offender fled eastbound on Franklin Blvd., from Kedzie Avenue.
Offender’s Description
The offender is described as a black male, 5’10”- 6’0″, medium complexion, dark clothing, wearing a white half mask with red on it and carrying a chrome plated revolver.
