31 Aug 18 Community Alert Major Accidents - -CA JB415148 1200 s halstedOn Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 1:55 p.m., a black colored Ford Crown Victoria vehicle bearing Illinois License Plate AJ81664, was traveling southbound in the 1200 block of South Halsted St. The Ford struck a 60 year old pedestrian, who was on a stand-up lawn mower, resulting in serious personal injuries. After the impact, the driver of the Ford vehicle fled southbound on Halsted Street failing to leave identification or render aid to the injured. The Ford Crown Victoria vehicle has extensive front end damage.
