Andrew Smith was positively identified as the offender of a shooting incident on the 6700 block of South East End Ave on July 19, 2016, at approximately 6:37 p.m. During this incident, Smith approached a male 38, and fired several shots before fleeing. The victim was taken to Northwestern Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and was later pronounced. Smith was taken into custody a short distance away and charged accordingly.
