In the 3000 block of W. 71st St., on Aug. 24, 2022, at approx. 6:57 p.m., a male victim, 33, was approached by a male offender, 33 when the offender produced a handgun and fired shots. The victim returns fire. Both the victim and offender were struck. One of the weapons was recovered. The male offender was taken into custody. Both were transported to local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. Area Detectives are investigating.
