This directive outlines the Command Channel Review process for Department complaint register investigations (full disciplinary investigations of an allegation of misconduct), whether investigated by the Department or the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA), including assignment, timeframes, procedures, and accountability review. This directive was revised pursuant to paragraph 498 of the Consent Decree requiring the Command Channel Review process to be conducted within 30 days.
