Thank you for visiting the Chicago Police Department’s public comment forum for the Department Directives System policy. This directive outlines policy regarding Department orders and has been revised in response to paragraphs 279, 340, 545, 634, 635, and 636 of the Consent Decree.
As part of our ongoing mission to grow trust within the communities we serve, CPD will take comments from the public on the Department Directives System policy for 15 days beginning on February 21, 2020. This comment period is closed. CPD will then take your comments into consideration before finalizing the directive. Below, you will find the draft of the revised Department Directives System policy.
