This directive informs Department members of certain procedures and restrictions regarding arrestee and in-custody communications. It has been revised pursuant to paragraphs 31 and 34 of the Consent Decree.

As part of our ongoing mission to grow trust within the communities we serve, CPD will take comments from the public on the Arrestee and In-Custody Communications policy for 15 days beginning on February 14, 2020. The comment period is now closed. CPD will consider your comments before finalizing the directive.
