06 Sep 18 - 11th District Community Alert Wanted for a Fatal Hit and RunOn August 23, 2018 at 2:05 a.m. a bicyclist was last seen riding his bicycle eastbound in the 4600 block of west Division Street. He was then struck by a vehicle driving eastbound on Division Street from Cicero Avenue. A 42-year-old male was possibly struck by the below described vehicle and died from his injuries.
18 Aug 18-Community Alert 11th District Aggravated Vehicular Hijackings P18-N-215 (CA) NPThis alert gives notice of recent vehicular hijackings that have occurred in the 11th District. In each incident the offenders approached the victims in their cars and ordered them out of their cars at gunpoint. The offenders then fled the scene with the victims’ vehicles.
05 Aug 18 11th Aggravated Criminal Sexual AssaultOn August 5, 2018 at approximately 11:00 a.m., a 21-year-old woman was walking northbound on Cicero Ave. from Madison St. when the offender approached her and engaged in a conversation. The offender displayed a dark colored object in his waistband and ordered her to walk with him. The offender led the victim to the rear porch area of an abandoned building in the 4600 block of West Washington Blvd. where he sexually assaulted her. The offender then fled in an unknown direction.
On Tuesday July 3rd, 2018 at approximately 7:59 p.m., 11th District Tactical
Officers were responding to a person with a gun call in the 4700 block of West Fulton St. when
they were confronted by an armed offender. Officers fired shots at the offender striking him.
The offender was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced. A weapon
was recovered at the scene.
17 Apr 18-Business Alert-11th District-Robbery- Delivery Drivers
There have been two robberies of delivery drivers in the 011th District (Harrison). These robberies have occurred on the same block by two offenders. In the first robbery, the offenders grabbed the food from the victim, while in the second robbery a weapon was displayed and the food was then taken by the offenders.
