Armed Robbery and Home Invasion – 011th District (Harrison)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice of two recent Incidents that have occurred in the 011th District. In the first incident, the victim was walking in an alley and the two offenders pulled up in a 4-door silver vehicle. One offender exited the vehicle, displayed a handgun and took money and clothing from the victim. The victim related that the offender had a hand held radio and a blue shirt that had a patch that resembled a police patch. In the second incident, the two offenders approached the victims in the hallway of an apartment building and displayed a handgun and one of the offenders was wearing a blue shirt with a patch that resembled a police patch. The victims fled on foot into an apartment and the offenders forcibly entered the apartment and took a television from the apartment. Incident times and locations are listed below:
- 200 Block of South Kilbourn Avenue on February 6, 2017 at 11:10 pm.
- 800 Block of North Monticello Avenue on February 7, 2017 at 1:05 am.
About the Offenders:
- Male white, 22-35 years-old, 6’02 to 6’05, 170 pounds, wearing a blue shirt with a police patch
- Male black, 23-30 years-old
What you can do:
- Always be aware of your surroundings
- Report suspicious activity immediately
- If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
- Remember any unique physical characteristics (ie., scars, limp, acne, teeth)
- Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
- If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information

Roselle Man Charged for Possessing Explosive Device
25 year old Michael Debrown, of Roselle, Illinois, was arrested and charged for being in possession of an explosive device, which was discovered inside a residence on the 3500 block of West Flournoy Ave. at approx. 1:15 a.m. on February 2, 2017.

On Monday, January 30, 2017, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a white colored Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on Central Park Avenue was struck by a silver colored Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan traveling eastbound on Garfield Square Drive at a high rate of speed.

ROADSIDE SAFETY CHECK – HARRISON (11th) DISTRICT
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Harrison (11th)
District at 4525 W. Madison. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday,
January 27, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
During roadside safety checks, police officers slow down traffic, stop cars at regular intervals and
watch for drivers who show signs of alcohol impairment and other violations as noted below.
This program is conducted year round to ensure drivers are operating their vehicles safely. This is
part of an ongoing strategy to keep the city streets safe for Chicago’s residents and commuters.
The Roadside Safety Check conducted in the Calumet (5th) District at 11800 S. Halsted, on
December 2-3, 2016 resulted in the following:

This alert gives notice of recent Armed Robberies that have occurred in the 011th District. In all of the incidents, multiple male black offenders approached the victims with masks covering their faces, displayed handguns, and then took the victims’ personal property.

This alert gives notice of three Vehicular Hijackings that have occurred in the 011th District in the month of January. In all of these incidents, the offender approached and ordered the victim to exit their automobile before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
